Dissectable Decimeter Cube (MC-1098)

To make students appreciate the concept of volume and its definition and specifically to show relationship between 1 cm3 and 1 dm3. Constructed of red and white plastic parts which fit into a transparent plastic cube 10 x 10 x 10 cm. Each cube consists of:

(a) 8 slabs, 10 x 10 x 1 cm, four each red and white.
(b) 1 slab, 10 x 10 x 1 cm with alternate red and white squares on the surface.
(c) 9 rods, 10 x 1 x 1 cm threaded side by side on elastic cords to form a slab, 10 x 9 x 1 cm, rods are alternately red and white.
(d) 10 cubes, 1 cm³, threaded on an elastic cord to form a rod 1 x 1 x 10 cms. The cubes alternately red and white.
