Ventilation Apparatus,Convection In Air Apparatus (HT-1548)
A rectangular metal box 220 x 75 x 75 mm (L x W x H), with sliding glass front and two openings on top to place glass chimneys. A candle holder fitted to base of box beneath the one chimney. Supplied without candle. Convection may be demonstrated by use of smoke from a string held close to the top of unheated chimney.
Spare Parts: Glass chimney 2 Nos. HT-1548/1
Accessory: Candle pack of 12 Nos. HT-1548/ 2
Ventilation Apparatus,Convection In Air Apparatus (HT-1549)
Same as but box size 22 x 10 x 16cm (L x W x H)
Steam Trap (HT-1550)
All glass, overall length 160 mm (Approx.)
Edser Thermal Conductivity Apparatus (HT-1551)
To demonstrate thermal conductivities of different metals. A cylindrical metal container approx 100 x 90mm (H x D) with five rods 230 x 3mm dia of copper, aluminium, brass, mild steel and stainless steel. Each rod has captive slider which releases from a spot of wax when heat travels along the rod. (HT-1551/1) Accessory Paraffin wax: 500 gm pack
Thermal Conductivity Kit (HT-1552)
A class kit of different wires or rods each 250mm long for comparing the^hermal conductivities of different materials.

Thermal Conductivity of Metal Apparatus (HT-1553)
Comprising metal strips of copper, brass, iron and aluminium mounted on a wooden ring base. Outer ends of strips have cups to hold paraffin wax.
Thermal Conductivity of Metal Apparatus (HT-1554)
Strips of Aluminium, Brass, Copper, Iron and Zinc with cups. Fitted on hub with rod made of Brass. The entire setup is fitted on wooden handle.
Compound Wood & Metal Cylinder (HT-1555)
Comprising a cylinder 200 x 25mm diameter one half of which is wood, the other metal. If paper is wrapped tightly round the cylinder and the rod is held above the flame, the portion in contact with the wood will be quickly scorched while the portion in contact with the metal will remain uncharred.
Ingen-Hauze's Apparatus (HT-1556)
Consists of 5 metal rods of different materials having equal lengths mounted in sheet metal box 150 x 90 x 100mm with corks. Rods are coated in paraffin wax when used and the rate of melting is compared by hot water put into the box.
Ingen-Hauze's Apparatus (HT-1557)
Same as but rods are put in vertical position and tank is provided with legs, for heating the box when experiment is performed. Metal rods 150 x 3mm dia, one each Al, Brass, Copper, Glass and Iron. Tank size approx 210 x 75 x 75mm (I x w x h), height 170mm approx.
Radiant Heat Source (HT-1558)
Operates on main 220-250 V, 50 Hz supply. The element and holder are completely enclosed by a perforated mesh cover earthed via cable. The top of cover removable for replacing heating element. Mounted on a rectangular wooden base. Element rated at 300W. Supplied complete with 1.25 m 3-core cable.
Rant Heat Source, Low Voltage (HT-1559)
The 12 V, 100 W heating coil wound on ceramic plate and is assembled between two insulated plates with aperture and two 4mm sockets. Complete assembly is mounted on 150 x 8 mm rod.
Accessory: Transformer: output 2,4,6,8 and 12 V at 8A max load via 4 mm sockets. Complete with 1.5 mtr 3 core cable with connector. (HT-1559/1) Spare Part: Heating element 12 V, 100 W
Radiation Kit (HT-1560)
To demonstrate effectively the concept of heat radiation and carry out a number of basic experiments on radiation. Radiant heat source, low voltage (P-2510), copper plate 230 x 230 x 2mm with a 125 mm steel rod handle, Heat resistant screen 300 x 300 x 3 mm with a 25 mm hole near the centre. Glass Plate 230 x 230 x 3 mm, 4 Aluminium leaves, 1 Lamp black pack.
Crooke's Radiometer (HT-1561)
Partly evacuated glass bulb 65 mm diameter containing a set of 4 mica vanes mounted on a pivot, one side of each vane blackened and reverse side is kept bright. When exposed to sunlight or bright lamp, the rotor rotates rapidly. Mounted on stand.
