Epinus Condenser (ES-3517)
This is to demonstrate the variation of capacity of a condenser on the distance between the plates and the medium in between. Two 100mm dia metal discs mounted on post and their distance can be varied manually. Fitted with insulating handles on a wooden base. Supplied complete with a glass rectangular plate mounted in clips between two discs and may easily be replaced by a plate of some other material, to show the effect of different dielectrics.
Parallel Plate Capacitor (ES-3518)
This is for the study of field between the charged parallel plates and also to study the effect of area of plates, separation between them and medium in between the plates. Consists of two aluminium plates 250 mm square, 6 mm thick and each has been made to plug a 4 mm male plug inserted, at the edge of plates. Supplied complete with a 2.0 mm perspex sheet 250 x 250 mm and spacers made of same sheet of perspex.
Electric Whirl (ES-3519)
For demonstrating the effect of electric discharge from points. Consist of a wheel having a nos. of spokes rotatable freely on an insulating stand.
Gold Leaf Electroscope (ES-3520)
This is to demonstrate the presence of electric charge over a charged body and its transfer by contact over the electroscope disc, The gold leaf is attached over a metal plate which is attached to an axle and a removable metal disc on top. The deflection of leaf may be seen by glass windows, one of which is sliding, fitted on a casted body 95 x 60 x 105mm approx, provided with teethed sheet metal, arc inside, a 4mm socket on one side.
Gold Leaf Electroscope (ES-3521)
A rectangular sheet metal case and a polythene removable lid. Case fitted with a 4mm earthing socket, sliding glass window, a gold leaf support plate and an arc type notched scale. Supplied with one pair of gold leaves.
Electroscope, Simple Flask Type (ES-3522)
The apparatus consist of simple conical flask with a rubber stopper which support a metal rod whose lower end is flat and fitted with leaf. The upper end of the rod is attached with a metal disc.
Gold leaves spare in pack of 6 (ES-3523)
Pith Ball Simple (ES-3524)
Consist of pair of pith balls or metalised polystyrene spheres, suspended by cotton threads from a wire frame stand, upper part of the stand, is insulated from its base.
Electroscope, Pith Ball (ES-3525)
A plated brass pillar, mounted on bakelite/plastic base, 2 pith balls suspends by cotton thread.
Pith Balls (ES-3526)
A pack of 10 in polythene envelope.
Large Electrolytic Capacitor (ES-3527)
To demonstrate how the charge is stored in a capacitor and generate the concept of energy storage and its relation with the voltage across the condenser plates. A large electrolytic capacitor mounted on wooden base and provided with 4 mm sockets for connections.
Malvern Elecrostatic Kit (ES-3528)
Kit consists of: Electroscope, Proof plane, 4 metalised polystyrene spheres or pith balls, 1 reel of fine nylon thread, 2 Polythene plates 60 x 60 mm square, 1 Electrophorous plate 50 mm dia. with handle, 2 Aluminium cylinder 50 mm x 25 mm, 1 Cellulose acetate strip, 1 Polythene strip 150 x 25 mm, 1 Polishing cloth, 1 Stirrup for suspending strips, 1 Plated wire hook.
