Hydraulic Press   (MC-1205)

It has two graduated syringes mounted on a metal frame, having capacities of 20cm3 and 5cm3 respectively with ground pistons. Both the syringes are connected through a 3 position tap. These syringes may be exposed to atmosphere through this tap, isolated or interconnected as desired. Both the pistons are provided with platforms for loading. This item is used for demonstrating how fluid pressure is transmitted and mechanical advantage can be achieved.

Hydraulic Press   (MC-1206)

Comprises two heavy walled transparent plastic or Glass cylinders 40 mm and 15 mm I.D. approximately. Both fitted with non-return valves and pistons. Pump work by hand lever 315 mm long, ratio about 2:1, safety valve provided in the larger piston so that pressure in excess of that can safely be applied to the cylinder enables the water to rise above the piston and escape through the overflow pipe at the top. Stop cock at base of small cylinder for replenishing cylinders with water by rubbers tubing. Removable loading platform. Apparatus is mounted on base board.

Cartesian Diver   (MC-1212)

It is to demonstrate the transmission of pressure by a liquid. Approx 35 mm long (hollow figure made of glass with one fine opening, to float upright in water filled glass cylinder). When the diver is placed in a glass jar full of water it floats. When a stopper or membrane is fitted on top of cylinder, changing the pressure within the Jar, the diver will sink or rise depending on the pressure applied. Supplied without cylinder.

(MC-1212/1)
Accessory : Glass Jar for Cartesian diver
