Meterological Screen, Stevenson   (MC-1274)

This screen is to shield thermometers from precipitation and direct radiation from external resources, while it allows air to circulate freely around thermometers. Thus a near uniform temperature enclosure is created at the same temperature as of outside air.

This has louvered white painted hardwood, (white paint helps to reflect radiation) to accommodate wet and dry bulb Hygrometer and maximum and minimum thermometers etc. It has ventilation from beneath with louvered doors supported by two chains. Internal dimensions 450x400x240 mm Ht x width x depth.

Wind Vane   (MC-1275)

Designed to produce maximum torque relative to its moment of inertia as for a given change in wind direction, it is rotated with the minimum of friction and is balanced to avoid bias towards any particular direction.
Balanced vane with bearing mounted on steel pivot pillar terminates in 2.5 cm. BSP (Male) thread. Complete with locking nut, fitted with four arms with N.E.W.S. Overall size 40x40x40 cm. (Approx), All parts can easily be assembled for use.

A portable, cup anemometer which gives direct reading of wind speed in either km/hr, or Beaufort scale, m/s or knots. The vertical spindle carries three cups, which rotates on ball bearings and gives digital display.
