HV Travelling Microscope (MC-1077)

For measurements on two axes, for example measurements of dia of tube and determination of real and apparent depth of a liquid.

Cast base is fitted with screws and has a perspex plate (removable) to form a flat surface. It has horizontal scale 0-165 x 0.5 mm and 0-110 x 0.5 mm vertical scale, both the scales easily read to 0.01 mm using double length vernier. A coarse adjustment and a fine adjustment for 10 mm of movement are fitted to both the vertical and horizontal movement carriage and vertical column are fitted with locking screws. The microscope is fitted with 8x Ramsden eyepiece, reticule 90° cross and total magnification 25x. Supplied in well polished wooden case.
