Iron Fillings Bubble (MG-3018)

It finds use in simpler field plotting experiments. It consists sealed shallow, clear plastic petri dish containing a small quantity of fine iron fillings. Fillings are uniformly distributed over the base by shaking or tapping. The bubble is then placed over the magnet and gently tapped to permit the fillings to align themselves in the magnetic field.
