RHEOSTATS

Rheostats are made with a variety of resistance & current carrying capacity so as to satisfy every need.
Ohms : Available from min 4 Ohms to max 13000
           Ohms
Amps : Available from 0.3 amps to 15 amps

SPECIAL FEATURE :
(i) Supports : These are of casr metal or bakelite.  A slit is provided at the base to mount it on board or table.
(ii) Tubes : Tube are made of special porclene.
(iii) Terminals :  Bakelite or Metal Terminals are provided. Two terminals are provided for external leads and one on sliding rod.
(iv) Winding Wires : The wires are of Eureka and are perfectly oxidized.
(v) Sliders : The sliders are provided with phosphor bronze or carbon graphite3 contacts.  These have double contact system and move smoothly on the sliding rod.
(vi) Discription : Total resistance and maximum current capacity is marked on the slider.
( Vii) Accuracy :  The actual resistance of Rheostat shall be +20%,-5% of the rated resistance as per our resistance chart. (as per ISI specification no. IS : 9051 S.No. 10.3)
(viii) Current : Permanent current loading should not exceed 75% of the marked values.

Please Note
(ix) ENAMEL TUBES : Special non-breakable Enamel Tube Rheostats are also available on Demand.
(x) PERFORATED RHEOSTATS : Perforated Rheostats are also available on Demand.

RESISTANCE BOX PLUG TYPE

Superior quality  Heavy Brass metal blocks size 1/2" are bound to bakelite plate by means of nuts and screws securing rigid fixation and eliminating any chance of contact error creping due to loosening of plugs and lugs which are cut to fine taper and are interchangeable. Plugs heads are machine moulded , of heavy insulated bakelite in beautiful shapes.  the boxes are made to Teak-wood and nicely polished.

Great care is taken in preparing the wire wound resistance.  Selected Double Covered Eureka Wire is wound in bakelite  spools.  Sufficient ageing and Heat Treatment is processed througt to avoid any moisture effects.  Solder Joints are sealed after calibration.  All Resistors are calibrated on imported Testing Bright W.G. Pye & Co. Cambridge, England. Accuracy +- 0.1%

RESISTANCE BOX (DIAL TYPE)

RESISTANCE BOXES, DIAL DESIGN : The dial studs  are machine cut from phosphorous bronze and laminated bush contact are made from hardened copper phosphot bronze leaves.  The laminated bushed are connected to the main central contact.  Individual resistors are mounted separately.  The values of resistors are machine engraved or screen printed.

TECHNICAL DETAILS: Double covered Eureka wire is wound on Bakelite spools.  Each resistor is processed for ageing and heat treatment to avoid shifting of the values and tested individually to accuracy after fixing carbon resistance.  Resistances are calibrated on imported testing Bridge W.G.Pye & Co. Cambridge, England
Available in 1 dial, 2 dial, 3 dial, 4 dial, 5 dial & 6 dial
Accuracy +-0.1%
